Aaron Hobbs
President
Aaron Hobbs became president of RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment)® on September 1, 2010. Hobbs joined RISE in March 2009 as director of legislative affairs and grassroots outreach. He was appointed president-elect of RISE in May 2010.
Prior to joining RISE, Hobbs was director, National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses for the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation; International trade economist and presidential management fellow, United States Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agriculture Service; and resource economist, USDA’s Natural Resource Conservation Service.
A native of Kaufman, Texas, Hobbs earned bachelor's and master’s degrees in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.
